Spring Emotions® is made of FSC® certified wood and have FSC® certified packaging. The company behind Spring Emotions®, Spring Copenhagen, is FSC® certified (FSC-C132484). FSC® – or Forest Stewardship Council® - is the world's most trusted and widely supported non-profit certification system for responsibly sourced wood and paper products, ensuring that forests, animals and people are cared for. Our goal is that the majority of our products shall be made in FSC® certified wood and the majority of packaging shall be made from FSC® certified paper.

All of our partners work closely together with Spring Copenhagen and will be committed to participate in a joint commerce agreement, which among others are meeting the principles and guidelines made by the UN.
We take green initiatives and to work with NGO’s to make a difference locally. Part of the profit will be re-invested in tree-planting projects in collaboration with Danish NGO Plant et Træ (Plant a Tree).
The history of the emoji
1881:
Ancestors
The experiment of the American magazine "Puck" in 1881. Typesetters tried to represent faces with punctuation marks or letters.
1963:
The Smiley
Do you know that emojis are existing for more than 30 years? The first set of emojis were used in Japanese J-Phone on November 1997. After that, in 1999, Shigetaka Kurita used the emojis in NTT DoCoMo’s i-mode mobile Internet platform. Emojis became popular in late 2000 with the popularity of smartphones with younger generations.
1982:
Joke Marker
At that time, the Internet did not yet exist in its modern form. The network was called ARPANET. But it was already possible to create a kind of blog and send messages. Scott Fahlman suggested that posts that were jokes, should be marked with :-) .
1997:
The first mobile device with an "Emoji picker" was a device called "SkyWalker DP-211SW" from Pioneer. The emoji set, that was part of it, was designed by the Japanese company "SoftBank". Surprisingly nobody noticed that this was a sensation. The device did not sell very well and was quickly forgotten.
2008:
The first emojis were restricted to iPhone users in Japan. Three years later, in 2011, all iPhone owners around the world were able to use Emojis.
